Today on Sky Sports Racing: Morbeh faces Simon Pierre at Chester

The Your Site Racing cameras head to Chester and Newton Abbot today, with all races LIVE from 1.30pm.

The pick on a quality card at Chester sees last-time winners Simon Pierre and Morbeh headline a field of nine in the Danny And Harriett Birthday Bash Handicap.

Gemma Tufty's Simon Pierre showed the benefit of a run when getting up late on to claim a Thirsk novice and he shapes like this extra distance will suit on handicap debut under Jo Mason.

Roger Varian's Morbeh arrives having scored over further at Windsor last month and will hope to build on that despite a 6lb higher mark. Cieren Fallon replaces Tom Marquand in the plate this time around.

Others to warrant respect include handicap debutant Asia Force - who has enjoyed a luckless run of three successive runner-up finishes - and Hugo Palmer duo Mr Seagull and Home Hero.

The red-hot Rickety Bridge seeks a hat-trick in this St. Austell Brewery Novices' Limited Handicap Chase at Newton Abbot.

The Paul Nicholls-trained seven-year-old has impressed since tackling fences, winning on both starts here with aplomb. He is up another 4lb and could take this before heading up in Grade.

Court In A Storm made a fair start to life over fences when a runner-up at Worcester and with that run under his belt, he rates a big danger.

Dexperts Opinion makes his handicap and fencing bow, having claimed a Worcester handicap hurdle 21 days ago. He should go well, having had pointing experience.

La Pinsonniere drops in class, switching to chasing after an unsuccessful stint hurdling in open company for Nicky Henderson. Nico de Boinville makes the trip South to take the ride.

Showcasing Star and Norman Invasion bid to break their duck in a trappy edition of the Allington Hughes Law Handicap at 3.12pm.

Charlie Johnston saddles Showcasing Star, who has finished second on three starts in maiden and novice company and has his first start in handicaps off a mark of 77. He is open to plenty of improvement and Jack Callan claims a handy 3lb.

Norman Invasion is another making his handicap bow for the Ed Walker and George Downing combination. He led before fading when third at Redcar and would be dangerous if given an easy lead.

Vidmiyr ran respectably when beaten favourite at Lingfield, while Dartrey can be forgiven her blow out at Windsor last month.
